Why are we so captivated by and drawn to waterfalls. I recently noticed how my bothersome burning pain that doesn’t respond to tylenol or ibuprofen was finding relief at waterfalls so I did a little research. Waterfalls emit negative ions which contains all sorts of benefits for our wellbeing. It improves the air and boosts serotonin and can reduce stress, anxiety and depression. You can have better sleep and increased energy. It’s a way to connect with nature. People find all sorts of healing and peace when connecting with waterfalls, beaches, forests and mountains, which are all natural sources of negative ions. The waterfall I’m enjoying here is mineral springs, but for my next adventure I really want to go to lake Minnewaska, I haven’t been there since I was little.
