I stopped watching a lot of modern television for years now, but with a recent lower back injury I plugged back in. So much of what’s popular today leans heavily into hypersexualized content, glorified violence, and themes that numb the spirit rather than nourish it. It often feels like our screens are flooded with stories that celebrate dysfunction and dress up sin as entertainment.
As someone who values healing, wholeness, and the quiet strength of grace, I’m choosing to be more intentional about what I consume. I believe the content we absorb shapes our thoughts, moods, and even relationships. That’s why I recommend seeking out shows and films that uplift the human spirit, tell stories of redemption, and honor the simple beauty of life.
Vania’s Art of Living is about curating not just what we wear or eat, but what we let into our minds and hearts. There is still beautiful, meaningful content out there. I love stories that restore our faith in humanity, that leave us feeling lighter, not heavier.
Let’s choose nourishment over noise. Let’s watch what heals. I’ve created a watchlist on Netflix for your enjoyment below. Send me some of your favorites. Remember we are in this and rising together. 😊
